Young People

I love working with young people between 12 and 35 years old. I know from my own experience how difficult it can be to engage in therapy for the first time. Often it can feel awkward or pretty daunting and scary. The walking therapist offers outdoor based walk & talk sessions in order to take away this stress as much as possible. Research has shown that being outdoors can help in regulating the nervous system, takes away the feeling of hierarchy and makes it easier to connect while doing a fun activity outdoors. If this is something you are interested in, please reach out.

Burnout recovery and prevention

I am specialised in working with people with burnouts or people who are experiencing burnout symptoms. During the first session we will explore together where you are at and what package might feel like the best option. All sessions will take place outdoors and will focus not only on the mental aspect of burnout, but also the physical. We will work together on recovering from your burnout, as well as creating a life where future burnout will be prevented. I work closely with GP’s and it is possible to get help through workers compensation insurances.

Clinical Supervision

During clinical supervision at The walking therapist, I will provide you with a strengths-based, positive and nurturing experience that enables you to reflect on your clinical experiences. Regular clinical supervision facilitates slow thinking, which supports you to process emotional, ethical and complex aspects of working with other people. Clinical supervision is not about overseeing your clinical practice, but about providing you with support, self-care, reflective space and positive nurturing. Clinical supervision can take place during a walk & talk, indoors, or through zoom.
