Nature-based mental health care in lutruwita/Tasmania

Get accessible and personalised mental healthcare in-person outdoors or from the comfort of your home.

Our approach

I provide trauma-focused mental health care through nature-based therapy sessions.

Traditional sit and talk therapy is not for everyone; sometimes it might feel awkward or too confronting to sit in a room with someone and share your difficulties with them. Bringing therapy outdoors can really help with building a safe relationship and making conversations feel more natural. Often when we walk/move and talk it feels easier to bring more structure to our thoughts, we don’t have to look the other person in the eyes (which often feels more safe) and having silences in between feel more natural (as we also have to focus on where we are walking). It is also known that moving while talking can help us with regulating our emotions better.

I am specialised in youth and adolescent mental health, ADHD, trauma, burn out and emotion regulation.

Providing you with a safe space to (re)connect with your mind and body.

All your appointments will take place in the beautiful natural environments of nipaluna/Hobart, preferably in a walk & talk format. I have a mobile office so I can come to a spot near your place.

Alternative options are; indoors in an office space, or through zoom.

Daisy was thoughtful, listened to my issues carefully and responded appropriately.
Just listening to me respectfully was a great help. She helped me understanding myself better and I feel much more able to make better choices for myself now”

“Therapy sessions were for my daughter. Daisy was excellent. She connected very well to my daughter, which made her open up easily. Being outdoors has helped a lot in building trust and connection and my daughter feels she has the right tools now to work through difficulties”
